Recount Confirms Miller-Meeks Victory

Davenport, IA – Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks again declared victory after the official recount process in Iowa’s First Congressional District confirmed her win. Despite Miller-Meeks’ insurmountable lead, failed congressional candidate Christina Bohannan initiated the recount process that cost Iowa taxpayers $20,000.

"I am deeply honored to have the recount completed and once again secure reelection so I can continue serving the hardworking people of southeast Iowa," said Miller-Meeks. "I want to thank the election officials, volunteers, and recount boards who worked tirelessly, even during this Holiday week. I am now looking forward to getting back to work in Washington to lower prices at the gas pump, grocery store and on prescription drugs, secure the border and help farmers."

Congresswoman Miller-Meeks won by 798 votes after all 20 counties in the district completed the recount process. She now returns to Washington for a third term.

The certified results from each county will be canvassed by the bipartisan State Board of Canvassers on December 2, 2024.

20 Counties Certify Miller-Meeks Election Win

Davenport - Today, following Iowa’s county canvass, all 20 counties in Iowa’s First Congressional District certified their ballots confirming Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks re-election. The ballots now head to the Iowa Secretary of State.

“Today’s certification by all 20 countries in IA-01 further confirms what we already knew: Mariannette Miller-Meeks was re-elected to Congress for a third term. The congresswoman’s lead and win are a mathematical certainty.  She will continue her work for all of Iowa and immediately get back to work to lower prices and inflation, secure the border, and fight to protect our farmers.”

Miller-Meeks Wins Third Term in Congress

Riverside - Today, Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks was re-elected to a third term in Congress. In a competitive seat that Democrats thought they could spend well over $10 million and buy from hardworking Iowans, with a candidate that continuously made false claims and blatant lies, Miller-Meeks defied all critics. She will return to Washington to serve the great people of southeast Iowa.

Just as Truman held up the "Dewey Defeats Truman" Newspaper, Congresswoman Miller-Meeks tonight held up the Des Moines Register with the Selzer Poll saying Harris would win Iowa and a Democrat would win IA-01 by 16 points. With a margin of over 400 votes, the Miller-Meeks team is confident in a positive result when all votes are counted.

Congresswoman Miller-Meeks will continue her work for all of Iowa and immediately get back to reining in high gas and grocery prices, lower prescription drug costs, securing our nation’s southern border, fighting for our farmers, and protecting girls’ sports.

Primary Win Puts Miller-Meeks on the Way to a Third Term in Congress

DAVENPORT- Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks released the following statement after securing the Republican nomination for Iowa’s First Congressional District tonight:

“I am deeply honored to win the Republican nomination for Iowa’s First Congressional District. I look forward to taking our message to every Iowan in our district ahead of November. I share Iowans’ priorities for the next Congress: securing our southern border, getting inflation and the cost of living under control, tackling the mounting national debt, making sure we have strong K-12 education, and addressing escalating conflicts around the world.

“My opponent and her radical leftist agenda will continue to drive costs, keep our borders open, prioritize social politics instead of quality education for our kids and continue rampant government spending, which has led to crippling high prices and interest rates while simultaneously increasing our national debt.

“Her blind support for Democrat policies and Joe Biden’s failed agenda would mean years of financial hardship, limited opportunity for Iowans, pervasive crime in our communities, and weak support for Israel against Hamas.”

“I look forward to continuing to serve and deliver for the constituents of Southeast Iowa."
